LittleBigPlanet 2: Toy Story

Composer Winifred Phillips' latest project is the comically adventurous score for LittleBigPlanet 2: Toy Story, the first full downloadable-content release for one of the best reviewed games of the year.

Following her two wildly popular tracks for the initial release of LittleBigPlanet 2 in January, Phillips served as the sole composer for the newly released Toy Story DLC game, creating a musical score that features such divergent styles as big band jazz, cowboy blue grass, and symphonically epic science fiction.

Winifred Creates Music for LittleBigPlanet 2

Winifred Phillips' latest project is the "Victoria's Lab" and "Eve's Asylum" music for the videogame LittleBigPlanet 2, from Media Molecule / Sony Computer Entertainment Europe. Released in January 2011, LittleBigPlanet 2 has received enormous critical acclaim, and has sold over 1 million game copies since its release in January.

This funny music video for LittleBigPlanet 2 features music written by Winifred. The song, entitled "Victoria's Lab Int", was composed for the videogame developed by Media Molecule and published by Sony Computer Entertainment.




Winifred Phillips Nominated for IFMCA - 2/11/11

IFMCAThe International
Film Music Critics Association today announced its list of excellence in musical scoring for 2010,
and the music of the Legend of the Guardians videogame is a nominee in "Best Original Score for a Video Game or Interactive Media". Winifred and the Legend of the Guardians videogame music producer Winnie Waldron are thrilled to be recognized by the IFMCA.

The annual IFMCA Awards, which were first presented in 2004, are the only awards given to composers by film music journalists.


Hollywood Music in Media Award Winner - 11/20/10

Hollywood Music in Media AwardsMusic composed by Winifred Phillips and produced by Winnie Waldron has just won a 2010 Hollywood Music in Media Award in the category "Best Original Song - Video Game". The winning song is "With Hearts Sublime" from the Legend of the Guardians videogame (Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment).

HMMA Awards 2The awards gala took place on November 18th at The Highlands at the Kodak Theater Complex / Hollywood & Highlands Center in Hollywood, CA. The event was at capacity with composers, music supervisors, industry luminaries, celebrities and independent music artists, coming from as far away as Japan, Australia, Norway and other locations around the globe.

Presenters, hosts and VIPs included actress Jane Fonda, legendary producer Richard Perry and rock star Gilby Clarke (Guns & Roses, "Rockstar: Supernova"), among others. Click here for the full list of 2010 winners.
