Video game music composer Winifred Phillips' latest project is the musical score for the virtual reality game Dragon Front, developed by High Voltage Software and now available for the Oculus Rift.

In Dragon Front, you are a banished deity with unlimited power over one of four factions that engage in cataclysmic battle to alter the past and restore order to the world. By virtue of intense strategy gameplay, Dragon Front immerses players in a battle teeming with terrifying monsters, powerful wizards and immense war-machines bent on world domination. Phillips to speak at the Game Developers Conference 2016- 12/8/15

Winifred Phillips (accomplished video game composer) has been invited to speak at the Game Developers Conference 2016 in San Francisco

Phillips has been selected as a speaker for the Game Developers Conference 2016, taking place from March 14th to the 18th at the Moscone Center in San Francisco.

Her speech, entitled "From Total War to Assassin's Creed: Music for Mobile Games," will focus on the art of music composition mobile games, which are quickly becoming one of the most popular and succesful gaming platforms. Read more.

Winifred Phillips, popular video game composer, celebrates the translation of her book A COMPOSER'S GUIDE TO GAME MUSIC into Japanese for its release by publisher O'Reilly Japan

Composer WInifred Phillips' book, A Composer's Guide to Game Music, was released today in Japan in its newly-published Japanese-language edition. O'Reilly Japan has published the Japanese softcover of Phillips' book in Japan under the title, "Game Sound Production Guide: Composer Techniques for Interactive Music."

Phillips' book is the first English language book about game music to be translated into Japanese and sold in Japan. Read more.

Phillips composes music for Total War Battles: Kingdom - 8/12/15

Total War Battles Kingdom is a new game in the famous Total War franchise, and is one of video game composer Winifred Phillips' most recent projects.

Phillips' latest project is music for Total War Battles: Kingdom, developed by Creative Assembly and published by Sega. Phillips joined the music composition team at Creative Assembly for this project, and composed atmospheric medieval-inspired music for this strategy game. Phillips' music for Total War Battles: Kingdom has already been recognized with two Gold Medals from the Global Music Awards.
