LittleBigPlanet 2 nominated for "Outstanding Achievement in Original Music Composition" in the Interactive Achievement Awards - 1/13/12

Interactive Achievement Awards
The Academy of Interactive Arts and Sciences hasnominated the musical score of LittleBigPlanet 2 for an Interactive Achievement Award! As one of the composers for this project, Winifred Phillips received a nomination for "Outstanding Achievement in Original Music Composition".

The Interactive Achievement Awards recognize the best video games, computer games, mobile entertainment as well as individual and team craft achievement. Award winners are determined by a vote of qualified AIAS members.

LittleBigPlanet 2 Nominated for "Best Audio" in the Game Developers Choice Awards - 1/8/12

Game Developer's Choice AwardsThe Game Developers Choice Awards has named LittleBigPlanet 2 as a nominee for this year's Best Audio award!

The Best Audio Award recognizes the overall excellence of audio in a game - including musical composition, orchestration, sound design, sound effects, etc.

The Game Developers Choice Awards are the premier accolades for peer-recognition in the video game industry.

LittleBigPlanet 2 on Kotaku's "Best Game Music of 2011" List - 12/17/11

Kotaku Best Game Music 2011Kotaku has named the musical score of LittleBigPlanet 2 as one of the best video game soundtracks of the year!

The Kotaku article included YouTube videos for both of Winifred's tracks: "Victoria's Lab" and "Eve's Asylum". Kotaku also called these tracks their favorites from the game.

Composer Winifred Phillips Celebrates her Hollywood Music in Media Award Nomination - 11/28/11

This year the Hollywood Music in Media Awards nominated Winifred's song "Victoria's Lab" from the smash hit video game "LittleBigPlanet 2" for Best Song in a video game. Winifred Phillips attended the gala awards event along with her music producer Winnie Waldron, who worked with her on the "Victoria's Lab" track for LittleBigPlanet 2. During the event they were photographed on the red carpet, pictured above.

Last year, Phillips & Waldron were the winners in the "Best Song in a Video Game" category from the Hollywood Music in Media Awards for the "Legend of the Guardians" game. You can see the "Victoria's Lab" music video below:

LittleBigPlanet 2: Toy Story

Composer Winifred Phillips' latest project is the comically adventurous score for LittleBigPlanet 2: Toy Story, the first full downloadable-content release for one of the best reviewed games of the year.

Following her two wildly popular tracks for the initial release of LittleBigPlanet 2 in January, Phillips served as the sole composer for the newly released Toy Story DLC game, creating a musical score that features such divergent styles as big band jazz, cowboy blue grass, and symphonically epic science fiction.
